Following a successful application to ‘Awards for All’ the hall has now had new front doors fitted and new carpeting in the entrance hall & corridor. The committee intends to replace the back doors as soon as possible and the toilets are also in the process of being decorated. Once this work has been done the main renovation of the hall will be completed. The next big purchase will be a commercial dishwasher. This will be good news for everyone who has stood in the kitchen washing up after an event. Whilst most of the hard work of funding the hall restoration is behind us, the committee does need some new members. The committee meets monthly to discuss the ongoing maintenance and day to day running of the hall and like any organization it is important to have new people & fresh ideas coming in. If you wish to know more then please contact Lyn Emery, Chair of the Village Hall Committee. Tel. 812582. or Jack Whittenbury, Secretary. Tel. 812464 as soon as possible please
