The Clifton-upon-Teme Bowling Club was formed in 1994 when the green was created on the Recreation Ground. By 1999 the club's 30 members competed in 26 friendly matches with other clubs throughout the West Midlands. The Club Chairman, Eddie Thompson, was one of the founding members and his wife Marie is Club Captain.

The Friendship Club was formed in 1971 to provide an opportunity for local residents over the age of 60 to meet, exchange ideas and socialise on a regular basis. Members meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the Village Hall in addition to occasional outings during the summer months and the annual mini-market on the village green in September.

The Clifton Playing Field Association (CPFA) was formed in 1988 to administer the maintenance and development of the Recreation Field in Pound Lane and owned by the Parish Council. The CPFA repaid a £15,000 loan from the Parish Council, much of which was raised by local residents.Clifton-on-Teme Hunt

The Clifton-on-Teme Hunt is one of the youngest in England, founded by local farmers in 1926. The hunt kennels were originally at Shelsley Walsh near the Kennel Bend on the Hill Climb track. The opening meet is always held on the village green in Clifton in November, and on New Year's day the hounds meet again at the New Inn. The Hunt also organises the annual Clifton Point-to-Point races at Upper Sapey.

The Clifton branch of the Women's Institute, formed in 1964, offers a varied programme of lectures and talks on a wide range of topics in addition to organising occasional outings.

The Clifton Tennis Club was formed in 1986 when members met at Martley to play until fund-raising efforts by the CPFA resulted in two hard tennis courts being built in the village in 1992. A multi-use pavilion has since been added, enabling Tennis Club members to enjoy all year round playing and changing facilities. The Club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and caters for juniors and students as well as family members. Clifton Handbell ringers The Clifton Handbell Ringers were formed 25 years ago following the discovery of some handbells at Shelsley that were not being used. Funds were raised over a number of years for the purchase of the set of 22 bells now used by the group of seven women who regularly give performances in the area under the leadership of Pat Bradley.

Clifton Gardeners was formed by a group of villagers in 1996 when the village stopped entering the annual Britain in Bloom competition following a remarkable five years of success. The group aims to continue the village's carefully maintained appearance, looking after the flower beds and tubs put in place by the team behind Clifton's successful entries in the annual Britain in Bloom competition.

The Clifton Wanderers, an informal walking group whose aim is to enjoy and maintain local footpaths around the area, has continued the work begun by the now disbanded Clifton Rambling Group formed in 1977. In 1999, Walks Around Clifton-upon-Teme, one of a series of walking guides produced jointly by the Parish Council and Worcestershire County Council, was published. It features seven walks that begin and end in the village, compiled with the assistance of Lyn Emery, organiser of the Clifton Wanderers.

Clifton Scouts and Guides meet regularly at the BP hut in the village. There are active Beavers and Cubs groups for boys and Rainbows, Brownies and Guides groups for girls.
