The present
church building in Clifton-upon-Teme has stood for almost 800 years.
The Woodmanton chapel was added in 1350 and the spire was rebuilt
in the 17th century after being blown down, only to be struck by lightning
in 1884.
The clock was added to the tower in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's
diamond jubilee.
